Inspiring the Next Generation of Scientists: CSIR-NBRI's "Jigyasa" Initiative

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research - National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI) has taken a remarkable step towards enriching the scientific knowledge of school students through their innovative "Jigyasa" program. In collaboration with IIT Bombay, this initiative aims to make learning science both engaging and enjoyable for young minds.

By utilizing creative methods such as animations, games, and comics, Jigyasa transforms complex scientific concepts into easily understandable and exciting content.

Our Contribution:
Bringing Science to Life with 2D Animation

At Reflextick Design Studio, we are proud to have contributed to this visionary project by developing captivating 2D animations that form a crucial part of the Jigyasa initiative. Our involvement spanned several key phases:

Concept Development

We start by brainstorming and crafting unique concepts that align with the educational objectives of the Jigyasa program.

Animation Production

Developing the actual animations, including rough animations, in-betweening, and clean-up, to ensure smooth and consistent motion.

Scriptwriting

Collaborating closely with NBRI scientists, we develop scripts that are not only scientifically accurate but also engaging and easy to understand for students.

Voice Over and Sound Effects

Selecting and recording professional voice actors to add personality to our characters, and incorporating sound effects to enhance the viewing experience.

Storyboarding

Creating detailed storyboards to visually plan out each scene, ensuring a coherent and captivating flow of the animation.

Compositing

Collecting all the completed animation frames from the animation production phase.

Character

Design

Designing unique and relatable characters that help bring scientific stories to life, making the content more appealing to students.

Final

Production

Bringing all elements together into a polished final product, ready to be showcased as part of the Jigyasa program.

Throughout this process, we work hand-in-hand with NBRI scientists to ensure that all scientific terms and processes are accurately represented.
